Dr. Georgina DeWeese, Professor of Geography, is an expert in dendrochronology—the study of annual growth rings in trees to determine changes in the environment, identify the dates of specific events in the past, and pinpoint the ages of historical structures and archeological artifacts.

A beloved professor known for her lively teaching style, DeWeese lives in Marietta with her family and pets—four cats and three birds. In her spare time, she enjoys feeding and talking to wild animals, reading nonfiction, hiking, and gardening.
