West Georgia Outdoors (WGO) offers a variety of outdoor activities throughout each semester, providing students, faculty, and staff with opportunities for outdoor recreational experiences that focus on adventure, challenge, and personal growth.
Try a different kind of workout and climb to new heights at our Climbing Wall, as well as a variety of climbing clinics and challenges.
Rent all the gear you need to make your own adventures successful through our WGO Rental Center.
Experience a taste of what the outdoors offer with our variety of WGO special events throughout the semester.

Climbing Wall
West Georgia Outdoors' (WGO) Climbing Wall offers UWG students, faculty, and staff an alternative way to exercise and socialize for FREE. Located in the Campus Center, the Climbing Wall measures 48 feet tall and is suitable for climbers of all skill levels (no prior experience necessary). We provide climbing shoes and all the equipment necessary
Hours of Operation
- Monday - Friday, 3:00 - 9:00 p.m.
- Saturday & Sunday, CLOSED

West Georgia Outdoors Workshops/Special Events
Participants can sign up for all workshops and events through UWG Wolf Connect.
Rental Center
For excursions big and small, West Georgia Outdoors offers equipment at low cost for UWG students, faculty, and staff. Our staff can also assist you in the planning and logistics of your very own adventures. The WGO Rental Center is located on the second floor of the Campus Center across the hallway from the back courts.
Rentals
- Monday - Friday: 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Free bike rentals on Friday in the Rental Center.
- Saturday & Sunday: Access as needed through the Welcome Desk
